When I was approached by Guillermo Del Toro’s team in Toronto to take part in shooting an episode of his new Netflix anthology series, I was very excited. Especially when I found out that I would be potentially working with director Guillermo Navarro, who of course was Del Toro’s Oscar winning DP for many years. As it would turn out, I would come back a couple of months later to shoot a second episode with super star director Ana Lily Amirpour. 

Shooting at the new Netflix stages in Toronto was great, as its very near our home on the east side. The gargantuan task for this production team to create eight separate mini movies was daunting. Production designer Tamara Deverell was a great collaborator in coming up with the worlds for both of my episodes. The attention to detail in all these sets was incredible. Hats off to Tamara’s entire team for their fantastic work. 
Look for the series to debut October 31st, 2022 on Netflix!
